A pioneering company in the development of innovative commercial photonics solutions required a high vacuum test system to validate the integrity of their products under high vacuum and extreme temperature conditions.

LACO configured a Thermal Cycling Vacuum Test System (TVAC) capable of achieving high vacuum while simulating the extreme thermal conditions of space – utilizing two refrigerated-heating chillers to achieve the target temperature ranges. The vacuum chamber is equipped with thermal shroud, large pullout platen shelf, 6” viewport, and LED lighting. Vacuum pumping system includes a dry roughing pump and high vacuum turbopump package.

System is mounted on a ruggedized mobile frame and testing is controlled entirely using our versatile HVC-3500 Thermal Vacuum Controller.
